Welcome to West Yorkshire Humanists
The Humanist Society of West Yorkshire was established in 1967 in Leeds and is one of a number of local Humanist groups throughout the country. The group acts as a focal point for Humanists throughout West Yorkshire and organises monthly talks given by invited speakers on a range of Humanist related topics including humanism, secularism, philosophy and ethics, psychology, sociology and science.
Other activities include non-religious funeral ceremonies, weddings and naming ceremonies, participation in the Leeds and Bradford Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education, giving talks to schools and representing Humanism on local media. We are affiliated to the British Humanist Association and the National Secular Society.
We invite you to join us at our next meeting!
