SACRE

Each local authority has a Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE). This body consists of local representatives from different religions and beliefs that set the religious education curriculum for local schools.

As Humanists, we consider it important to participate in these bodies. As the majority of the population hold humanist beliefs it is important that non-religious worldviews are included in religious education.
